How To Wean Off Norco Tablet Slowly Without Any Side Effects?

I have been tapering off my pain med Norco for about 4 mos. But I am off all as of yesterday and feel depressed, uneasy and in pain. How long does it take to get back to normal. Does it begin the last day of all med even if only 1/2 per day? Is it still in my system and causing discomfort?

Hello and thank you for your question.
It will take several weeks for the Norco to get flushed out of your system. There can always be some depression associated with tapering off a drug like that if you have been on it for a long time. Exercise, drinking plenty of water and talking to a therapist can help with the symptoms that you are experiencing. Taking a multiitamin may also be helpful. Work with your doctor to determine the cause of your pain.
